My guy surprised me last week with an engagement ring. He even got down on one knee and proposed. Gave me a bouquet of flowers and put the ring on my finger. What a guy! This has been a quick courtship and I am very happy. We both felt the chemistry from the beginning and know that this love is for real. I feel at home when I am with him and he makes me feel like I am the only woman in the world. We have a lot in common and are very excited about our future together. We haven't decided when we will make it official, just taking one day at a time for now. We have made a commitment to each other and that is the important part for now.
Life can change so quickly. Two years ago I was going through the quagmire of divorce, one year ago I was mourning my mothers passing and today I am engaged to a wonderful man. I had no idea life would be this good again. But God had a plan for my life and I just needed to be patient and let Him have His way with me.
I am happy for the first time in years and look forward to a great life with this man. He is also thankful and glad to have me in his life and likes to tell me often how much I mean to him. He has been alone for many years waiting for me. And miraculously we found each other.
So -- I survived my divorce to live and love again after all. I will let you know when the wedding date is set.
